The breakfast was superb, with cereal, fruit, preserves and juices laid out, plus a fantastic cooked English breakfast. Heather, the waitress or manager, was very attentive and accommodating. I found the hotel through the Visit York website and arrived late as a solo traveller. Reception had left clear, straightforward instructions. My room was small but clean, tidy and very comfortable, and the firm bed gave me a good night's sleep. I'd recommend the place and will certainly return if I stay in York again.

The staff were phenomenal, friendly and ready to help. They suggested places to visit, checked whether we needed anything, and one person gave us spot-on directions for our next destination. The location is ideal, close to the city centre but far enough away to stay quiet, and the price is reasonable, especially with breakfast included. Be aware there are lots of stairs. We knew before booking, but the rooms at the top are a challenge to reach. It was also really warm at night during our summer visit, which came just after a major heat wave in England, so I assume it isn't usually that hot. It's a great B&B, and I'd recommend it and book again.

We've stayed at Airden House for several years, and our last visit in October was wonderful. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating, and nothing seems like too much trouble. Room 9 was comfortable, quiet and excellent. Breakfast had a great range of choices for different tastes. The Minster and heart of the city are only a five-minute walk away. We're looking forward to returning in october 2018, and highly recommend Airden House to anyone staying in york.

Breakfast was great, and the staff were so kind and helpful. We stayed in the Jacuzzi room and thought the small extra cost was well worth it. It was only a few minutes on foot to the centre, and getting a permit from Airden House made parking free and easy. We couldn't fault anything during our stay. We'd happily return.

We found the staff really friendly and helpful, and the homemade breakfast was decent. The location was good for the price, and the permit from Airden house let us park free all weekend without any trouble. The Jacuzzi rooms are downstairs in the basement and get quite humid. The decor also needs work, and the actual room didn't look as good as the pictures. With a bit more attention, this place could improve a lot.
