The rooms are spacious, clean, and have a stunning view. I also loved the distinctive design, especially the graffiti outside, and the lobby felt cozy with pleasant music. The location makes it easy to reach cultural and historic sights within minutes. Staff were friendly even when things were crowded, and the owners made a point of talking with guests to hear their feedback. There was good food, a nice wine selection, a comfortable meeting room, and useful connections with local guides and tour operators.

Breakfast on the fifth floor came with fabulous views and plenty of choice. This is a small boutique hotel with just 20 rooms, and the price felt fair for its characterful neighborhood near the metro and shops. My city hotel room was spacious and had a mini fridge and bar, toiletries, towels, slippers, and modest laundry service. It was well heated with an easy-to-use control, and the modern shower had good hot water. The welcome was warm and in fluent English. A solid four-star stay.

I especially enjoyed the balcony and its lovely city view. The rooms were clean, modern, roomy, and reasonably priced, and the staff were helpful at any hour since reception is open 24 hours. I spent a week here during mandatory COVID quarantine, and the service felt like being in a jail for USD 75 a night. The food was almost inedible, and supplies were nowhere near enough for two people over eight days: one toilet paper roll and two small shower gels and shampoos for the whole stay. They gave us a few links for grocery, food, and pharmacy deliveries, then seemed to leave us to get by with the apps. I found that unacceptable, especially as people were required to stay there. The service was the worst I have experienced, and the price was expensive by Georgia's standards. I don't understand the positive reviews, or how this is considered a four-star hotel. One star at best. If this is a government-run program, they need to reconsider urgently. Foreigners may be willing to pay more when the service is worth it, and I can see why more of them don't put up with this while working remotely from Georgia.
