Gtm Plaza Hotel

The rooms were clean, with a heater and a hair dryer in the bathroom, and our little balcony had a nice view of Tbilisi. Breakfast was a tasty buffet, and the hotel's location was handy, with large supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. It's a small, budget friendly place, but I wish the front desk staff were more approachable. When I arrived, having been booked there by a travel agency, the receptionists didn't seem very welcoming. The old fashioned elevator has a door you have to push open.

This isn't a hotel anymore. It's been turned into a hostel for college students.

The best part of our mornings was looking out over the Kura river. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and the hotel wasn't too far from the airport. It was a comfortable, pleasant stay, with cheerful staff and very clean rooms. Breakfast was nice, and so were the people there. I had a bit of confusion with the receptionist on the morning shift.

We were a little away from the busy area, but I still think this place is worth a stay. The breakfast had a wide selection for different tastes, and the staff were friendly. They helped us order taxis and explain our destinations to the drivers. Since our flight wasn't until late afternoon, they also let us check out later, which helped a lot. We hadn't been able to book a river view room, but they gave us one when we arrived, and it was fabulous. The room was cozy, with plenty of plugs for charging our phones. Cups and a kettle were provided, though we had to get our own coffee and teaspoons.
