Caldera Romantica

I had some of my best days here, quiet and relaxed. The people working there were amazing, and both receptionists were so kind. The pool was great, and the place was neat and clean. The city centre is a little far, but renting a car or scooter makes that no problem. They’re well organized and helpful, with WhatsApp available anytime to arrange taxis or tours. I recommend them 100% 🤍

The team made our four days feel like pure relaxation. The girls were lovely, genuinely kind, always smiling, and happy to help. Their tips on sights, beaches, and places to get a drink made us feel at home, and we’ll remember them fondly. The place was clean and well organized, with comfortable rooms and a stunning pool overlooking the view. There’s a romantic view of the caldera, and it’s well placed for reaching Santorini’s best beaches, including Black Beach and Red Beach. We were really sad to leave and hope to be back soon. Highly recommend it!

The view and swimming pool were the only good parts for me. The rest didn’t feel like a 3-star hotel. We had a superior room, but both the air conditioner and mini fridge were so noisy that we had to turn them off all night to sleep. The toilet seat was much too small for the bowl. The stairs up to the bed were a bit dangerous, especially for a superior room. Reception staff weren’t the nicest, apart from the welcome. When I asked for a bottle of water, the receptionist said it would cost 2€. At the supermarket it was 0.85€. Hotels we stayed at in Athens and the Cyclades gave us water for free. For a superior room, they could do something for guests instead of trying to rip them off.

Our balcony had a nice Caldera view, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were polite. The property was lovely, and we enjoyed the saltwater pool. The Junior suite with balcony was nice too, but there’s a ladder on the way up to the bed. Watch your head upstairs: I bumped mine on the ceiling twice. The only real downside was the tap water. It seemed almost like seawater and felt that way in the shower. I’ve stayed at other Santorini hotels where the water was much better. Still, it was a nice experience overall.
