The staff were absolutely delightful and the views were amazing, but we just didn’t find the place very comfortable. It’s stunning, like the cover of Vogue Does Greece, with authentic style everywhere. Somehow, though, the style seemed to take priority over practicality. It might suit someone younger and fitter than us. We struggled with the stairs, the hard pillows, and the bathroom, which was extremely dark. We also would have preferred a kettle to the saucepan, which was big enough to boil a goat in.

Stavroula, our host, is an amazing woman: kind, helpful, cheerful, and full of life. Her unique character really added to the vacation. The place was clean, and the modern comforts fit nicely into its 1800s style. Staying there felt like stepping into a medieval era. I strongly recommend visiting lithos stone suites.

Breakfast was brought right to our room, and we ate on our private patio while taking in the views all around. The room and beds were comfortable, the shower had strong water pressure, and there was plenty of parking. It’s a very unique place to stay. The staff were friendly and called on arrival day to check what time we’d get in. We ended up 20 minutes late, but they were helpful with check-in and didn’t make an issue of it. Perfect stay, highly recommended.

The hotel and its location are really top notch, but our room didn’t seem ready when we arrived. There was no toilet paper, and the WiFi was off more often than it worked. They found toilet paper and soap for us, though there usually wasn’t an attendant on duty. We were there off season, so perhaps these things are better at other times. The breakfast wasn’t very good either.
