The rooms and location weren't five-star, but Kamal's kindness made this a five-star stay for us. We arrived at 3:30 a.m. exhausted after landing, then spending three hours walking around Athens. We'd been harassed by a Moroccan man and a very drunk man, and men had propositioned us. It was awful. Kamal got the drunk man to leave, helped us settle in, and found us a room for me and my two young daughters. His wife was lovely too. The neighborhood felt rough for tourists, with drug users on the streets, though nobody bothered us there. It gave us a glimpse of how people live in deprived areas in different countries, so I can't dismiss it entirely. The hotel itself was basic and badly in need of modernization, and cleanliness was only adequate. The air conditioning was old but worked perfectly. It has that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" feel. I can't fault the service. Kamal calmed us down, encouraged us not to let the night ruin our trip, and pointed us toward places to visit and eat. I'd recommend staying here if you don't need modern comforts and are happy with the basics. His integrity, professionalism, and kindness are why I give it five stars. All the best, brother. We arrived around 1 a.m. in the rain, and the receptionist kindly lent us an umbrella and suggested places to go. The Bread Factory is a two-minute walk away, open around the clock, and has lots of Greek food as well as pastries. He was welcoming and helpful. The area isn't especially posh, but the hotel is inexpensive and close to places like PLAKA and the Acropolis. The price felt fair for the service and location. It bothers me to see people leave harsh reviews that can hurt a small business when they expect five-star treatment after paying very little. If that's what you want, book the Marriott and pay 400 euros a night, then complain, lol.

I wouldn't stay here again, even if it were free. The rooms were filthy, everything reeked of cigarettes, and the bathroom was awful. I usually avoid leaving bad reviews, but I can't find anything good to say. The owner needs to take better care of the guests and the business.

Breakfast was included, with boiled eggs, cheese, yoghurt, and tea. The rooms were quiet and had an outdoor view, and there are restaurants nearby. Wi-Fi, TV, air conditioning, and laundry are available. There’s a meeting room too.
