In June 2019, my then-fiancée Merrilee, who has sadly since passed away, and I were honoured to be the first guests in The Penthouse when Kostas & Eva had just started offering it as an AirBNB. I've stayed in hundreds of places over the years, but that visit with such kind, generous locals remains my most memorable stay. They welcomed us as friends and introduced us to other locals the same way. From the doorstep, it was moments to authentic Greek culture, old and new, great hospitality, and good food. The view of the Acropolis was mesmerising. I'll certainly stay there again next time I'm in Athens. ❤️

Georgia was wonderful, really friendly and great to deal with. She arranged our airport taxi and another ride to the cruise terminal, then met us at the apartment to show us how everything worked and answer our questions. It’s right in the middle of everything, and sorting things out over WhatsApp was easy.

We had the penthouse, with loads of room inside and out on the terrace. The Acropolis view was amazing.

The hosts, Georgia and Eva, were helpful the whole time, and the neighborhood felt lively and safe. Athens Suites is also in a great spot, with restaurants and bars right nearby and most sights only a 5-15 minute walk away. We came back from our October 2023 stay to find the rooms spacious, clean, and stocked with everything we needed.

We paid a very reasonable price for a spacious room, and the hosts were friendly and easy to contact. They got in touch on WhatsApp a few days before our trip and stayed reachable throughout. From the hotel, it’s about a brisk 20-minute walk to the Acropolis, with most other sights also within walking distance. The Lyceum is really the only archaeological site far enough away to call for public transport. There’s a lively nightlife feel on the street, though it stays very clean.
