La Torre Residenza Imperiale

The owners are warm and welcoming, always available, and happy to arrange anything. Their hospitality is unmatched, and they’ve put so much love and thought into making the house special. We came back for a second stay, and it was just as magical as the first. The elegant house is spacious and luxurious, with calming views of the old town and harbour from almost every window. This time we visited during the festive season. Inside, a Christmas tree, garlands, wreaths and a cozy fireplace made it feel wonderfully festive. Outside, Chania was full of Christmas spirit too, with twinkling street lights, traditional decorations on balconies, and boats lit up in the Old Venetian Port. The town felt like a Christmas wonderland, and staying in this extraordinary home made the trip unforgettable. The location is so convenient, with shops, cafes and restaurants right nearby. We hired a car to explore more of Crete, and having parking provided by the owners was a real luxury in the Old Town.

The ocean view from the balcony was such a lovely extra, especially for quiet mornings and relaxed evenings. We were also close to everything in Old Town Chania, from restaurants and shops to historic sights, yet the apartment stayed peaceful despite the lively streets nearby. There were six of us for three nights, and the place was spotless, well kept, and thoughtfully set up. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed, plus some essential food items. Chris waited late to welcome us after bad weather delayed our arrival, and he and his team, especially Yannis, helped with our luggage at both check-in and check-out. Secure parking was just a minute's walk away. We had a memorable stay and highly recommend it.

We loved the views over the city port, with the White Mountains in the distance, and the location put restaurants and shops right nearby. La Torre is a beautifully renovated Venetian building, with travertine bathrooms, marble kitchen counters, and a fireplace for the cooler winter months. We stayed for a week. The hosts were there whenever we needed anything, and the place had plenty of room for a family or a couples' trip, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It was an amazing stay in Chania.

We booked at the last minute and were very happy with our choice. Chris, our local host, was attentive and knew the area well. He helped us find places to visit and arranged restaurant bookings and taxis, nothing seemed too much trouble. The apartment was central, with lovely port views and everything close by. Inside, it was very clean, finished to a high standard, and fully air conditioned. Breakfast was included at a nearby restaurant and was excellent. We'd gladly recommend the place.
