Alexander's Great View

The ocean view was excellent, and the rooms were clean. I spent three days at Alexander's Great view, close to the city center. The women at reception helped me arrange a really nice catamaran tour. Thanks for the experience.

It's a four-minute walk to Fira's main bus station, and I could see the sunrise. The view wasn't especially great despite the apartment's name, mostly remote land before the waterfront. The room was tidy and fairly basic, with no other amenities. Check-in and checkout were limited, and checkout was only possible after 9. The lobby looks more like an office than an apartment entrance, so it's easy to miss. The price probably reflects those tradeoffs.

The nicest part was the staff. They helped us sort out all kinds of things, including storing our bags before check-in and after checkout, printing our flight tickets, sharing advice about town and the island, and arranging tours. The place itself was clean and cozy, and only about five minutes from the city center and bus station. A nice spot for a few days in Fira.

George was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even waiting past closing so we could collect our luggage after a misunderstanding about when we'd return. We were just passing through, and the hotel's about a five-minute walk from Thera. The room was clean and warm, and it was great value for the price. We left our bags there the next day. A great experience, thank you!
