Asha Luxury Suites

We stayed four nights in the Soul Suite in late October, and it may be the best value room right on the caldera edge. The balcony looked out over the caldera, sunset, and islands. Inside, there was lots of space, storage, and clothes hangers. I loved the purple bathroom, with its double sink and luxurious spa-style tub. The hotel sits right in the middle of everything. Breakfast was ample, chosen from a checklist, and even included free champagne or Vinsanto, including on arrival. One morning the power went out for 30 minutes, but breakfast was still ready on time. Panos was friendly without hovering, and helped when I asked whether I could visit a castle I’d spotted from the balcony. Staying in a cave hotel was unlike anything else, especially hearing sounds echo through the room compared with an ordinary hotel.

We used the hot tub every day, and the caldera view at breakfast each morning was fantastic. Reception was so friendly, and the breakfast was great. The cleaner and the hot tub cleaner were both lovely and did a really good job. Best holiday accommodation we’ve had in ten years. Hope to see you again!

We came to stay in Thira, and this hotel was just right: great location, view, breakfast, and staff. Our Aether room had a private balcony, and it was lovely to walk up the steps straight into the action. It was quiet inside, and the shower was amazing. Neighbors said they could hear noise from the restaurant above, but we didn’t hear a thing. The room was spacious and comfortable, and they carried our luggage for us, which we appreciated. It’s only 23 steps to the room, just as I’d read, and that wasn’t bad at all. Highly recommend.

The views were amazing, and breakfast was good. A couple of small issues, though: the air conditioning leaked inside the room, and the bath plug didn’t work, so we couldn’t use the bath.
