Lava suites

We spent four nights here for our honeymoon and honestly couldn't have asked for more. We wanted a balcony with a view and a small private pool, and the large suite gave us both. After seeing so many balconies and pools overlooked by others, the privacy here really stood out. This suite is high up on Fira's northern side, with a huge deck and an amazing view. The balcony was bigger than most of the others we saw, easily 90% of them. We also loved the room itself, especially the big built-in couch and the cave shower. The staff were genuinely lovely. Pavlos helped with our bags when we arrived and left, and brought us a pretty good breakfast every morning. Zoi was so friendly and helped with everything, including arranging our transfer to the ferry. We have no complaints and would gladly book the same place again.

The staff were kind and did what they could to sort out problems with the air conditioning and spa, and breakfast was nicely done. The location is fantastic, with probably one of the best views in Fira. Still, for more than 550 euros a night, the Serenity room didn't live up to expectations. It needed maintenance: the sun lounger and shade sail were missing, and the outdoor cushions were stained. The online photos didn't accurately show how the room looked. The two-star rating reflects the overall experience and value. The owners need to put some money into fixing the suite's room and outdoor area.

The cave suites aren't ones I'd recommend. The sleeping area is at the back with no ventilation at all, and there was no cell signal or wifi anywhere in the suite. When we asked for help, the response was basically that we'd booked a cave suite and had to blame ourselves, and that nothing could be done. The location is amazing, with spectacular views, and everything in Fira is within walking distance. The rooms are spacious, but those issues made the stay disappointing.

It was our first time here, and we found Lava suites hard to locate, so call ahead. We stayed in a cave-style suite on the main level facing the scenery, and my family enjoyed the vacation. The room had satisfying space, and we liked the scenery, the good breakfast, helpful staff, and fast wifi. There were hot tubs and regular pools too.
