Popi Star Hotel

Popi Star Hotel made for such a relaxing holiday. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with the charm of Corfu, and I felt at home from the moment I arrived. The Greek Night was a lovely highlight, with music, dancing and local character, all right there at the hotel. The kitchen and dining staff stood out for being attentive, friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The location was handy too, with beaches a short walk away, an easy bus ride to Corfu Old Town and a nearby bus stop. Restaurants, grocery stores and souvenir shops are all around the corner. I loved staying at Popi Star and am already looking forward to coming back. It felt like a peaceful getaway with warm, authentic Greek hospitality.

I was impressed by our six-night stay. The food was amazing, everyone on staff was friendly, and the hotel is well placed, just a short walk from shops and the beach. There's a nice pool with sun loungers and seating. Our room was clean and cleaned daily, but the rooms, especially the bathroom, could do with a renovation. Still, for a budget hotel it was absolutely fine, and I can't complain. I'd definitely stay again.

We were staying all-inclusive, but we ate and drank elsewhere. There were flies all over the food, and when I went to the bar, wasps were all over the tops of the bottles. The barman didn't seem bothered. The holiday photos should be brought up to date. The trees and bushes have grown all over the front, and the opposite side is overgrown too. The bar area is open to the elements, which isn't nice.

For a budget hotel, this is brilliant. The food is as good as the local restaurants, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful from the start of our stay at the end of May 2025. All-inclusive drink choices are limited, but the bar staff, Spiros during the day and Nikolas at night, were great. Housekeeping was the one reason I didn't give Popi Star five stars. When the bed was changed, the sheet was left folded at the foot, which was annoying. Toilet paper wasn't replaced, then when it finally was, the pack was left on top of the dispenser. They took one towel each day, which seemed odd. And there was quite a blazing row one morning. Still, the hotel as a whole was brilliant for a budget stay.
