A nice, clean, quiet base for visiting the area around Heraklion. Breakfast is available for 8 euro per person. The kitchen isn't really a kitchen, more like a camping gas setup. Traveling in Crete, I found it too expensive. We found much cheaper houses that were better.

The host was so kind and friendly, greeting us with a smile. The place was very clean, the yard was nice for the kids, and the homemade food was authentic and tasty. It's in a small, beautiful village surrounded by nature, easy to reach, with the coast only a short trip away. Loved it!!!

The climb up is worth it for the view across the valley. This is an awesome tucked-away place outside the city, and the father and son hosting us were warm-hearted, friendly, and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent.

A beautiful, welcoming escape from the tourist spots along the coast. It feels completely different from the crowded places, and you're still a quick trip from both the south and the north of the island.
