Creta Maris Beach Resort

We loved the Cretan village feel and all the lovely spots around Creta Maris for photos. The staff were warm, and the resort history and sustainability tour, including the farms, was really interesting. We’d recommend it. The food choice was great, especially at the buffet and a la carte restaurants. Arismari, Alatsi and Pithos were our favourites, and the semi-sweet wines were gorgeous. Sandy beach and good snorkelling are right there, though watch out for anemones among the rocks. Hersonissos centre is nearby for more restaurants, bars and things to do. A couple of downsides: getting a second drink at Vergara lounge could be difficult even when it wasn’t very busy, and Mademi’s grilled meat didn’t stand out against the other restaurants or buffet. The main pool gets crowded, so the adult-exclusive package or rooms may suit you if you want access to another pool and bar. It was our first visit, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We’d recommend it.

The spa treatments were a real treat. I had a body massage and a facial with Stella, both were lovely and very reasonably priced. We had a lovely stay in the family room with our two young children. There was room for all of us, the beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty for the kids to do, including arcades, baby play rooms and play areas. We enjoyed the food and drinks and liked having several restaurants to choose from. In early May, though, the bars by the pools had queues. It would have helped to have staff take orders around the pool, though perhaps they do that in summer. The evening entertainment was fine for us, but the kids’ disco only ran a few times and could have been on every night. Still, there was enough to keep us happy, and we’d come back :)

The waterpark was my son's favourite, and he had the best time here. We had such a good stay that we're already planning to return next May. Creta Maris has a lot for families, with pools, restaurants, bars and activities, plus lovely rooms and welcoming staff. The views were something else too. A glorious resort.

We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and beautifully organized. The pools were lovely, the food was great, and there’s a sandy beach right by the hotel. It’s also well placed for exploring the island. We had a fantastic holiday at Creta Maris Resort and would happily return. Highly recommended!
