Vora

We ended our Greece trip with two nights at this lovely Santorini property. The villa’s architecture was distinctive and very thoughtfully designed, and the infinity pool gave us one of the best views of the caldera and volcano. It’s secluded and private, perched high above Imerovigli, yet Fira is still walkable. Service and location were hard to beat, and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. We especially looked forward to the à la carte breakfast each day. We’ll be back!

The personal care from the staff at Vora made all the difference for us. We stay in nice hotels for work and holidays, but Sophia, Eva, and Rizza were unusually kind and quick to help with anything we needed. The chef’s breakfasts and dinners were better than most restaurants, honestly, and they made it hard to leave. Our room was clean, spacious, and well designed, with a view that was something else. They’d thought of everything. Restaurants and shops are an easy walk away, and Pink Sophia Maria across the street is a fabulous lunch spot. We can’t wait to come back.

The French toast tsoureki with sour cherries was one of my favorite things, alongside the wonderful service from the Vora team. The caldera views came a very close third. If I could, I’d give the rooms, location, and service six out of five. Eva, Sophia, Riza, and everyone working behind the scenes, thank you for making our honeymoon so special. We’ll remember our time here for the rest of our lives.

It’s hard to leave the room when you can sit with a glass of wine and take in that view. Vora keeps a selection of white and rosé wines chilled in the fridge, and the minibar has plenty of drinks too. We had dinner there one evening, and it was excellent. Breakfast came to the room, or outside when the weather allowed, with enough choices to make anyone happy. Eva gave us all the information we needed before arrival, and we were upgraded to the Rô Villa, a roomy two-story suite. They’d also left a personal welcome note and fresh fruit. The view was breathtaking, and the Jacuzzi was warmed up for us even though the weather was cold. Vora has everything, and we weren’t disappointed.
