The pool is across the way and there was always space, though the bar wasn’t open and you can’t bring your own drinks. Pool access and those services aren’t included with the hotel, so you’re left breaking the rules or drinking water. On the plus side, there’s a motor rental place nearby, and you can park there for longer rentals. I’d suggest a buggy for exploring the island, but only if you’ve driven one before. It’s a handy, fairly quiet base near Kamari beach services if you’re mostly out and about. The staff were nice, although we ran into a few language barriers. Breakfast was basic but adequate, and Vasili the chef is a sweet character. Our room needed some maintenance. The toilet leaked and the sink was disconnected, which were minor hassles. The AC worked fine, though it seems past its best. Hot water and good pressure are available very early in the morning, so set an alarm if you want a shower. Close the wooden balcony doors at bedtime to block some light and noise. There was only one pillow per person, and I’m not sure if we could have asked for an extra.
