Karterados is so close to Fira, but without the high prices or bustle, and the location also works well for getting to the airport and port. We stayed here for the second time and loved it again. The accommodation was clean and spacious, set in a lovely complex with a great outdoor courtyard. Poppy, the host, is one of the sweetest and most helpful people you'll meet. The Sweet Home is a must for affordable, quality accommodation in a convenient spot in Santorini.

The three of us had a lovely time on Santorini, and Sweet Home was part of that. It’s a small, beautiful, cozy place with the best price we found compared with other options. Our host made sure things went smoothly, arranged breakfast for the time we asked for, and gave us useful transport advice. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

There’s no window except the main door, but that didn’t bother us. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom was nice. We could still check in after midnight, and the airport was about 10 minutes away, with Oia around 25 minutes away.

The hosts were lovely, and there are some great local restaurants nearby. It’s only about a 10-minute walk to Fira, much closer than the map makes it seem. The kitchen is small but well equipped. I’d happily stay here again.

I spent a month at Sweet Home in March 2017 and came away wanting to return soon. Staying there was a good decision. It’s a clean, safe, wonderful place, and the spirit is so high. There are local shops and restaurants close by for the evenings, and Fira is a short walk away, with groceries, shops, and plenty more places to eat. I shopped and ate locally, which was a good way to see Karterados and feel part of the town. Poppie (not sure of the spelling of Poppie's name) and her husband were incredibly friendly and compassionate. The service and cleanliness were beyond beyond.
