Villa Agas

My room was spacious, and the hotel itself was good, but I didn't like the way things were handled. My neighbour paid 25 for the same room while I was charged 33, so check that you're getting the best price. The receptionist would only take cash, which was inconvenient. The pool was closed for winter. When I asked to extend my stay, they quoted 40, so I moved to another hotel.

There’s a grocery shop and cafe close by, and the location makes getting around Santorini easy. It’s near the middle of the island, so even the furthest spots are under a 20-minute ATV ride away. Just rent one and you’re set.

The room was clean and the staff on site were helpful, but it got cold inside because the heater wasn’t enough. In winter, the shower water also wasn’t hot enough after 8pm, though it was hotter in the morning. The location was okay. My booking mistake meant I had to pay 70% more to change my dates, a penalty of 40Euros. Booking.com customer service tried to get Villa Agas (Santorini) to reconsider, but the owners wouldn’t. I think damaging the business’s reputation over 40 Euros is quite silly. With that and the heating and hot water issues, I’d say one star is probably fair. Stayed on 29 -31 Dec 2024

The reception person was friendly and helpful, and the after-hours check-in worked really well. It’s easy to get to all parts of the beautiful island from here. My room was quiet, clean and lovely, and the pool was good. I reckon the place is awesome, no faults.
