The location was great, but I wouldn’t pay extra for the “room with a view.” My husband and I thought that meant a sea view. It turned out to be a white plaster wall. If you want the real Santorini experience, I’d keep looking.

Everything in Oia, from the shops to the restaurants, is within walking distance. You can also rent a car or quad through the hotel or shops nearby. The staff were lovely and really helpful, especially Mario, who made our stay incredible. We had an amazing time and would come back. Thanks again!

Finding Prime Suites was a bit of an adventure since Google has the location wrong. Start at Virgin Mary Platsani Holy Orthodox Church, in the courtyard, and face the water. Turn right and follow the shops and restaurants. You’ll pass Poniros jewelry on the right, then Mary Kay's Bar. Keep going to the little square with shops, then bear left so Meteor Cafe is on your right. Stay left until you reach stairs going down toward a blue dome. At the dome, turn left. Right takes you to the old Castle of Oia. Ignore the large “STOP” on the pavement, and after a few more steps you’ll see gray doors marked “Private Property.” Go through; reception is on the left. The front desk clerk came to find me when I got lost. The suite was nice, and the owners seem to be working on cleanliness and politeness. I booked a suite that made the balcony sound private, but it wasn’t, so that was a bit deceptive.

My daughter and her partner booked five nights for the end of July 2020 in January that year. Australia shut its borders in March, and she’s been trying to get back the E900 ever since. Other accommodation businesses they booked with for the same period refunded them in full, understanding that we still couldn’t travel and might not be able to for some time. This company says the booking was non-refundable through booking.com, so it won’t refund the money. It offered an accommodation voucher valid until 31/12/22 instead. We explained that travel might still not be possible by then and suggested extending it, or letting her give the voucher to someone else. Disgusting behaviour and attitude.
