Nikos Hotel

The staff made a real difference. They were kind and ready to help with a smile, even when things were busy, and we felt very welcome. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, and came promptly. Our room and the shared areas were exceptionally clean and well maintained. Nikos Hotel in Karterados is also well placed for Fira, with restaurants, shops, and transport easy to reach. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Santorini.

Everyone was so accommodating, and breakfast was yummy. We also got a free upgrade to one of the fully renovated rooms. The staff were the best, and we’ll definitely come back!

The room we were given looked nothing like the photos on the website. We went in low season, so I find it hard to believe there were no other rooms available, even after we pointed out it wasn’t the type we’d booked. I’ve stayed in hostels better than this hotel. There were no blinds, and the curtains didn’t fully cover the windows. The fabric on the headboard seemed hard to clean and unhygienic, and the mattress was poor quality. Breakfast was almost nonexistent, with moldy cheese. I regret not taking a picture. At least it’s only a seven-minute drive from the airport, the pool is nice, and the girl at reception was friendly. Unfortunately, she wasn’t there when we went to complain.

The breakfast was amazing, especially the homemade Greek pizza, and the coffee machine was so good. The rooms were clean and we had bottles of water. We also enjoyed the great view and the pool. I visited Nikos hotel with three friends for four days in May. The island wasn’t too crowded, so we could easily enjoy the popular spots recommended by the reception and manager. Big thanks to everyone at the hotel. I recommend Nikos Hotel for the great prices and its closeness to Fira, which we were told is the capital of Santorini.
