Ostria Apartments

The apartment’s best features for us were the wonderful view and Dimitris’s kindness. We spent a week there in October in the two-bedroom apartment. It was spacious and very clean, with daily cleaning, and our one-year-old enjoyed crawling around, including on the balcony. We felt safe with him there. The pool looked great, but we didn’t use it because it was already a bit chilly, and it isn’t safe for a toddler. Dimitris was a lovely host, always friendly and available. He also knows the island’s best areas and activities. The apartments are fairly isolated, and you can’t get to many places without a car. There’s a bus stop fairly close, but I’d still recommend having a car. The nearby hotel can get a bit loud at times, though we mostly slept with the windows shut. On the plus side, it has a restaurant that can come in handy. A few small things would’ve made the first day easier: salt, oil, a couple of better knives, a broom and a couple of cleaning cloths. It feels silly to buy a kilo of salt and a litre of oil when we’d only use a little, and the next guest would need to do the same. A paid essentials kit would’ve been fine. We’d have happily bought one instead of going to the supermarket for each item. We had a great stay, and Dimitris was a great host. Totally recommended. A big ciao from Nino :)
