We booked four months ahead for six people, including three children. We asked for adjoining rooms on the first floor with proper beds, and weren’t told those requests couldn’t be met, apart from being told they couldn’t provide a double bed. Only when we arrived at 10pm were we told the rooms were on the ground floor. With tired kids after a long journey, we had no real option to cancel. We also found one room was missing the extra bed for the third person. The owner was very kind when we complained, but sent us to the agent. The agent said they took no responsibility for misleading us or for failing to tell us earlier that the booking wouldn’t meet our requests. The village is peaceful and has a nice garden. The rooms are small but cozy, and the bathroom is tiny, with a shower cabin built for kids rather than adults. The cleaner was a very kind and helpful woman. Knowing the agent’s attitude and tone in their reply, we wouldn’t come back.

Rebecca was a lovely host, always ready to answer our questions and come by to help. She also works at the nearby beach bar Adabra Cat Abra, where there are free sunbeds on the grass and super-friendly waiters. The studios were neat, cleaned every day by a friendly cleaner, and had comfortable beds. Ours had everything we needed, plus a beautiful balcony view of the sea and the mountains in the direction of the sunset. The area on the island is very peaceful, and it was good value for money. We loved staying here as a quiet base for exploring the island and would definitely recommend it.

We decided to leave and look for another hotel or apartment. We hadn’t been given the studio room we booked: the owner was nice and friendly, but the receptionist said it had gone to someone who booked earlier, even though it had appeared available when we booked online and through Airbnb. Nobody told us it had already been taken until we arrived. The receptionist said we had to accept another room or we wouldn’t get our money back. Her attitude was frustrating, and we didn’t feel comfortable staying in the replacement room.

Rebecca, the very friendly owner, helped us so much with our stay and recommendations for nice restaurants. We had an amazing time at Kondarinis Studios in Tragaki. The studios are in a quiet spot, with a well-kept green garden that would be great for families, and a beautiful sea view from the balcony, especially at night. We also visited the nearby beach bar Abracadabra, where Rebecca works. It’s about a 10-minute walk at an easy pace, and I’d recommend it: friendly waiters and very good food. My husband still says the souvlaki was the best in town. They also have good Greek coffee. The beach along the shore is lovely and very clean, with sunbeds on grass that are free when you order food or a drink. We were comfortable and enjoyed our holiday in Tragaki and our stay at Kondarinis Sea View Studios. We’d recommend it to anyone.

The owners are genuinely lovely and helped us with everything. We had a peaceful stay with an amazing sea view, and could walk to the beach, bars and other places. It was just the right location for us. We absolutely loved it and can’t rate it highly enough.
