The garden and the café's outdoor area are lovely, and my room was comfortable and quiet at the back of the property despite the central location. Check-in went very smoothly. But there was no hot water, and the price felt a bit high. The Wi-Fi was frustrating: there are several networks with slightly different passwords, and you might not be given access to the strongest one. When I could connect to that network, the signal was usually very good, though it dropped out now and then. I had dinner at the hotel on my first night, and my rate included two supposedly complimentary breakfasts. The restaurant service and standards gave me enough trouble that, if I'd known of a decent alternative nearby, I would've skipped breakfast on the second day. That breakfast was so poorly handled I felt uncomfortable, and it looked as if the food had been thrown onto my plate.

It's peaceful at night, with no traffic or other noise disturbing your rest, even though the hotel is right in town. The market is about three minutes away, and the city center, with its park, cathedral, restaurants, and bars, is just as close. There's a garden where you can sit outside, plus covered parking behind the hotel. The rooms are roomy, clean, and nicely furnished, and the staff are attentive and friendly. A clean, rustic, welcoming place in Cobán.

The noise made it hard to get proper rest. The food was just okay, and the towels were old and in poor condition. In my opinion, you can find better places for the price.

The building is beautifully put together, and the architecture is lovely. The garden area is gorgeous, the rooms are nice, and there's a big TV.
