Villas La Mar

The villa was in very poor shape when we finally got access. We arrived on time but weren’t allowed in until 5 p.m.; then we found no water, a kitchen sink that wouldn’t drain, and almost no cleanliness. Reception staff were rude and arrogant, and I felt they treated us in a discriminatory way. They kept lying and couldn’t answer basic questions about whether the villa was ready or where the complaint book was. They insisted it was being cleaned without checking. We had to walk staff over and show them nobody was there. They even asked ME to call my own family to tell THEIR employee to come help us. That was outrageous and unprofessional. I reported everything on WhatsApp, but nothing happened until the person in charge was replaced. Nobody took responsibility or apologized, even though we stayed patient and respectful from the start. The person claiming to be the manager joined without knowing what had happened and only made the argument worse with more disrespect. We had planned this trip carefully to welcome my family visiting from abroad, and the poor management ruined the day. We’ve experienced late check-in before, but this was beyond acceptable: total disorganization, badly trained staff, offensive attitudes, and clear disrespect for customers. Other guests were also visibly upset and complained about the same poor service. The system, staff training, and overall quality aren’t worth the price. The food used to be good, but it has noticeably declined. We want a formal response and serious action. There’s no excuse for what happened.

The property looks gorgeous, but that couldn’t make up for the terrible experience with reception. Our reservations were a mess, the food was just okay, and it felt pricey for what we got. I don’t think it’s worth staying here, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The pools, beach, staff, food, and drinks were all fantastic, and most things were really nice. But our room had several problems: the AC didn’t work properly, the door locks wouldn’t lock right, and the front door wouldn’t open all the way. The resort was nearly empty, yet they put us at the very back next to construction, which got a bit loud at times. It felt odd that they placed us there when the rest of the resort was available.

Come for the sea, but be prepared to make your own meals. The food was some of the worst I've ever had, despite having traveled a lot, and the service was awful. It felt like nobody was even trying, and whoever's in charge seems to have been gone for ages. The setting itself is beautiful.
