Amigos - Hostel

The terrace was lovely for catching some sun or doing yoga, and breakfast was included at the restaurant across the road. It was delicious. My private room was spacious, and two guys at reception were really welcoming. One of them had a dog. Sleep was the problem. Music blasted from somewhere down the street every night, maybe Bar Sublime, with live bands, karaoke, and heavy hard style techno. It stopped at 11pm, but then the rubbish trucks came through from around 6:30am playing top 40 music.

The bed was really comfortable and I slept well. The location was pretty good, and guests get 25% off breakfast at the restaurant across from the hostel. I was disappointed that there weren’t lockers in the dorm rooms.

It’s right on the main tourist street, so expect night noise and activity. That’s part of staying in central San Pedro. Even so, my stay was great. Check-in went smoothly: I arrived during opening hours, showed my passport for them to photograph, paid cash, and everything worked out. The staff were accommodating, the room and showers were good, and the rooftop views were amazing. Breakfast was decent and only 25Q. It’s very affordable, and I’d recommend it.

Really nice, with an amazing view from the private rooms and a very central location. Just bring earplugs, the club across the street gets loud at night.
