Hotel Tano

The staff made my first stay at Hotel Tano feel special, and I’m already planning to book again next year. Dino at the front desk arranged a complimentary late checkout of one hour, which I really appreciated. I forgot to get the other staff members’ names, but everyone I met was lovely and welcoming. The room didn’t have a remarkable view, and some parts of the hotel are a little old, but housekeeping came every day and had everything in perfect order. It was a very comfortable place to stay. We come to Guam several times a year and would happily stay at Hotel Tano Guam again. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, even compared with places we’ve stayed like the Hyatt, and the rooms and property were clean and well maintained. Restaurants, shops, and the beach are all within walking distance, which made getting around easy. The shower arrangement is a little strange and leaves the bathroom floor wet, though it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Service was warm overall. Dino was friendly and helpful at check-in, and when we reported a broken shower head to Ara, she had it fixed within an hour. Late checkout took more effort. We emailed before arriving and spoke with Dino at check-in, but after hearing nothing, we followed up the next evening and were sent to Axel. He seemed disengaged and the conversation was brief. We asked if we could pay for another room since another guest was arriving, but were simply told no. On our last day, Ara offered to let us store our bags and use the facilities until our late-night flight. We appreciated that, though we didn’t end up using it. That checkout issue was small next to the comfortable rooms, convenient location, and friendly service.

What made our family’s stay at Hotel Tano memorable was the people. When we arrived with our bags and parked out front, Adrian and Placido Jr explained the rear parking and entrance, carried our luggage inside, connected us with reception, helped us check in, and brought everything up to our room. The next day and throughout our stay, Ara, Gene, Derrick, and Mr. Dino greeted us whenever we passed through the lobby. Dino was always cheerful and ready for a conversation. The whole team was consistently welcoming, whether we were coming or going. The room itself was pretty okay, and the TANO SUITE was a great size. A kitchen outlet didn’t work and the shower handles kept falling off, but those small problems didn’t affect our stay. For me, the service mattered most. Hotel issues can be fixed, but such kind and attentive customer care is rare. I’m grateful they made my family feel comfortable, and I hope we can visit again. I’d stay here next time too.

The location was very convenient, close to the airport and restaurants. We spent 15 days at Hotel Tano, and the rooms were cleaned. The staff were friendly, provided excellent service, and were very accommodating.
