Mira Moon

The view from the Full Moon room was lovely both day and night, and the room itself was cosy, well designed, and well maintained. I was upgraded at check-in as a Titanium Elite & Lifetime Platinum Marriott member. Janet gave me a warm welcome and helped me get familiar with the hotel. Everyone was amazing from arrival through the whole stay, including the person who checked on me and, I believe, made up my room each day. This is a lovely boutique hotel in Causeway Bay, just a short walk from the MTR, Times Square, and the busy Causeway Bay area. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Strong cooking smells came into my room in the middle of the night for all four nights, and the room was small, with lots of mirrors that seemed intended to make it look bigger. I also found the location inconvenient for major malls and attractions. Times Square was the only nearby mall, and the area had a lot of pawn shops. When I asked for an upgrade as a Marriott Gold member, the front desk replied, “It’s more money,” in a way that felt impolite and unprofessional. They made no effort to explain the benefits or show the courtesy I expect from Marriott. I booked through the Marriott website, but the experience felt completely disconnected from the brand, especially in its customer service. For the same price, I think there are much better choices for location, rooms, and service. This stay was disappointing and didn’t meet my expectations for a hotel booked through Marriott.

The room was quite spacious for Hong Kong, and the staff were very accommodating about an early check-in. They even surprised us with a birthday cake, a lovely gesture. In the bathroom, though, the layout wasted space and left little room for personal items; a small couch area would have been nice too. We’d booked a partial harbour view, but it was underwhelming. We had a pleasant stay at Mira Moon Hotel, but for the price and 5-star rating, it missed the magical touch of a true luxury hotel and felt more like a very nice 4-star stay.

We had a great weekend at The Rabbit 😉. The boutique design is beautiful, and the room was quiet and pleasant, with everything we needed. The pillows were comfortable and the bedding felt soft.
