Ah Shan Hostel

Getting here from the airport is straightforward: the A21 bus goes right to the location, and Mongkok MTR station is close by. The owner was very welcoming, and the price is affordable and good value. The room was clean, with its own bathroom stocked with shampoo and soap. They also provide adapters, power strips, a hairdryer, coffee, and a water dispenser, which was handy. The area felt safe for a solo woman and wasn’t isolated. There are also two restaurants nearby that stay open 24 hours.

The owner was really nice, and the cat was very fluffy. Rooms are kept in good shape, though they’re a little small and the beds don’t have curtains. For the price, especially in Hong Kong, it was very good. You’re right above Mong Kok MTR, so getting around and finding food is easy.

“10/10” We had a really good stay, and the place exceeded what we expected. It’s affordable, clean, organized, and convenient, with friendly staff who are easy to talk to. They’ve got the basics for a short trip, including a hairdryer, water dispenser, and hot and cold shower. I’d definitely recommend it.

Food shops, convenience stores, the train station, and Ladies Market are all close by, with the market just across the street. Check-in was quick, and getting into the room was easy. The door uses a keypass lock, so there’s no card or key to carry around. Our room and bathroom were clean and well looked after. Great value and a very nice stay.
