Prudential Hotel

We compared plenty of places before choosing this hotel, and the location made it a good call. The metro is about a minute from the lobby, and the airport bus stop is just around the corner. The hotel feels a little dated, but it was clean and practical, with all the amenities we needed. We didn't eat at the hotel, though the dining area looked good.

The rooms are older, but they're roomier than many options, which is why I picked this place. It's right above Jordon station, with lots of restaurants and plenty within walking distance. Booking online through booking.com and checking in were both straightforward. They also stored our luggage before check-in and after checkout. Water pressure could be better, but it wasn't a big concern.

The location is the one thing this hotel has going for it. My first room smelled awful and had roaches, and the replacement was only a little better. Wi-Fi barely worked anywhere in the building. Housekeeping also ignored the do not disturb sign: someone knocked, I told her to come back later and shut the door, then she came back in about ten seconds later to clean the bathroom. I don't know what her problem was.

We stayed for three nights with our three kids, all under seven. The staff were okay, but getting around the facilities wasn't easy. We only found out on the last day that there was a special lift straight to the room. If we'd known from the start, we wouldn't have had to carry the stroller up the steps or risk the kids using the small escalator from the ground floor to the lobby. They should let guests know about the lift sooner.
