Shama Island North Hong Kong

This is my second year staying here, and it works well for families with kids or couples. Great value, excellent service, and you can’t beat the location. I’ll definitely be back.

For 40 EURO a night for a double room, this was really good value, much better than any other hotel in Hong Kong. The room was bigger than at other hotels, clean, and neat. The staff were respectful and polite, and the people there helped us a lot.

The rooms are clean and modern, the staff are very nice and willing to sort out issues, and the location is good, about 5 minutes from the MTR. Cooking smells sometimes drift into the hallway. The mattress was very firm, and as someone a bit heavier, I slept very uncomfortably. Because of that, I can’t stay here again. It’s a decent hotel for the money.

I only stayed one night, and the reception staff were super friendly. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and even a little art street. You can see the “ding ding” trams from the window, so it’s easy to catch one, and the MTR is close too. The rooms aren’t very spacious, but that’s Hong Kong. The carpet was comfortable and everything felt good quality. Check-in took a long time. In this digital era, it seems like it should be faster, or even fully digital, though many hotels have the same issue. Still, it’s a good place to stay, and I’ll remember it next time I visit HK.
