We had a clean, fairly quiet one-bedroom suite for three nights, around 40 square meters. The bed was comfortable, the linen and towels were nice, and there were good views. The location was excellent, the lifts were quick and sufficient, and check-in and check-out were easy. A few things could have made the living room more useful: a small dining table with a couple of chairs, a regular kettle instead of the fancy water boiler, and a small microwave. I understand the environmental reason hotels in Hong Kong may not provide complimentary bottled water, but there should be another option, like glass bottles or a shared water filter or dispenser on each floor. Having to buy water every day was a hassle. These are small complaints, and with those changes the stay would have been perfect.

The bed was really hard, and the air conditioning was so loud I could hear it through earplugs. The internet worked but was slow. The room was fine but basic, the bathroom and shower worked without any problems, and everything was clean enough. Breakfast was okay, though it felt more like a 7-10€ meal than one costing 20€. The location was good, less than 1 km from several transportation hubs, with the main streets a few hundred meters away. Service was always nice, and there seemed to be plenty of staff, so check-in was very efficient. Still, I wouldn't call this a 4-star hotel by European standards, more like 2-3 stars. I could stay again, but not for what I paid. At 700 HKD a night, I'd consider it.

The location is great, the cost is reasonable, and the rooms are a little dated, as previous reviews have said. Two things spoiled our stay. We booked for two adults and one child, but there was only one bed when we arrived. The hotel said we'd have to pay extra for another bed, which I've never encountered before. When I book for three people, I expect sleeping arrangements for all of us. The website didn't make this clear, and there was no option to book an extra bed. They wouldn't budge from 'company policy' when we argued, so my son slept in our bed. I refused to pay $385 a night for something I felt should have been included. If you're traveling with children, check directly with the hotel about the beds by phone or email. For three nights, our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We complained at the front desk, and they sent up a filter machine that helped. Once the smell was so strong it hurt our eyes, and we had two machines running at full speed. Housekeeping said people commonly smoked in other rooms and the odor seeped through the hotel. The hotel is non-smoking, and with the recent Tai Po disaster, this is shocking. The smoke alarms in the rooms must have been deactivated, since they should have gone off when someone lit a cigarette. We reported the bed issue to the ombudsman and will report the smoke issue too.

The breakfast buffet staff were quick, helpful, lovely, and very accommodating. The concierge team was the highlight of our stay. Marcos and Anson were outstanding and went out of their way to help with a special request about our luggage. With two little ones and large bags, getting everything from Hong Kong to China was difficult. The front desk referred us to the concierge, who made sure we were stress-free and even brought our luggage back to the front desk before we left for our taxi. We had reserved three rooms for our family and requested they be close together about a month and a half ahead of check-in. Unfortunately, reception hadn't prepared for that. Still, the wonderful staff made our stay memorable despite the initial hiccup. Thank you, BP Hotel. ❤️ -Gfam
