The owner's rudeness made this a place I really can't recommend. He lives in the yard behind the guesthouse, argued with guests, interrupted our rest, and insulted us. Even check-in became a hassle: he struggled with the technology and, while trying to sort it out, angrily threatened that we wouldn't be able to sleep there if he couldn't manage it. We had already paid in advance, and that kind of administrative problem shouldn't be the guest's responsibility. There were no towels in the house until we asked, and the ones we were given were torn. The beds had cat hair on them and the toilets smelled. The owner also struggled to make the bed, though that should have been his job, not ours. When we checked out, he complained that eight glasses hadn't been washed. We washed them without arguing, then he asked why we hadn't put them in the dishwasher. We hadn't even known there was one in the house. The house itself wasn't the reason for my review, it's the owner's rude behavior.

That evening pot roast was fantastic, and it had been a long time since we’d tasted such real Hungarian Goulash. We had a wonderful six-night stay and were pleased with everything, all 9 of us. As we discussed, we’d love to come back in 2024. We’ll let you know two months before we arrive so there’ll be a place for us. Thanks for everything!

The place was terribly old, musty, and dirty. I was afraid to go back in. If I could give it zero stars, I’d give it minus one. It was extremely expensive, too. And to the owner's reply below: we weren't Romanian, you're mixing us up with someone else.

We’re repeat guests because the hosts are such kind, helpful people, and the garden is lovely for cooking and swimming. The rooms are tidy, and the beach is nearby. There’s also a restaurant and ice cream shop about a 10-minute walk away.
