The staff were kind and ready to help, and the room was generally clean and well maintained. The location was a real plus, close to a metro station and some attractions. Noise was a bit of a problem, though. Our large window faced the street, and we could still hear it with the window closed. The door to our private bathroom also wouldn't stay shut. It opened back up when we tried to close it. That's manageable with family, but it should be repaired.
The room was a good size for the price, and the location and staff were nice. It was fine for a few days. But when we arrived, the soap was only a quarter full and already watered down, and there was just half a roll of toilet paper. The room was also very hot in October, and we couldn't leave the windows open because of road noise.
The staff were friendly, and the location was decent, near several restaurants and the famous New York Café. Still, we were told only after trying the tap water that the water in our room wasn't drinkable, even though tap water is generally safe to drink in Budapest. There had been no warning, and paying extra for clean water felt unnecessary and inconvenient. The toilet seat was broken too, so it was uncomfortable to use.
The price was low and the location was good. Staff were helpful, and our heated room was clean. Sound from the corridor came through quite easily, though.
I had no problems in the women's shared room. It's simple accommodation in an amazing location, and there are lockers in the room. The sheets smelled strongly even though they were freshly washed, maybe washing them at a higher temperature would help. Thanks for making check-in and check-out so quick and kind.
