Hotel Foldana

The rooms were clean and matched the standard shown on the website. Staff were eager to help and let us check in before noon. It's a great hotel for a reasonable price, and if Budapest is on my itinerary again, I'd choose it.

After we left what I considered a fair review, the hotel’s “director” posted a reply with personal insults, xenophobic comments, and unprofessional language. Among other things, he questioned our intelligence, said he didn't know where we came from but “in Europe” things were different, suggested we shouldn't dare leave a review, shared what other guests had asked about our stay, and belittled us over our English. Screenshots show how unprofessional the response was, but the in-person encounter was worse. He raised his voice, refused to help, used very disrespectful language, and followed us into the parking lot, which made us feel unsafe. This public behavior from a hotel director raises serious concerns for me about how he behaves behind closed doors. Please be cautious when choosing this hotel. Respect and professionalism should be the minimum in hospitality.

I was impressed by how much was in the kitchen, from utensils and appliances to a high-tech hob that heated quickly and only around the pot. The place felt like a house, with a large living room, kitchen, bathroom, main bedroom, and a big veranda. Beds were excellent, and the soundproofing meant I slept like a baby despite being sensitive to noise. Cleanliness was very good. The shower won't leak if you're careful, though if a kid splashes around you'll need to mop a little. There's a washing machine in the bathroom and an oven in the kitchen. We couldn't get regular terrestrial TV channels on the TV, but our child could watch YouTube, and it has a Vodafone kit, so subscribers may be able to sign in to Vodafone TV. The staff were helpful and polite. A really good experience.

The price feels very reasonable for the service, and it's a beautiful hotel with lots of amenities and services. Ask for Eva if you visit, she made things especially comfortable for me. I highly recommend it.
