Ozone Private Rooms And Hostel

I couldn't make it to Budapest because my flight was cancelled, but the staff at ozone were easy to reach and helped me get a full refund through booking.com, even though my reservation was non-refundable. They were really polite and helpful. I've never had accommodation staff support me like that before. I hope I get to stay with them someday.

The location was 10/10, and the room itself looked nice. Service was OK, but there were a few problems: hair in the bed, one charging socket that didn't work properly, and weak heating that meant we slept in our jackets. The shower kept changing from cold to warm and then freezing. The staircase felt especially creepy at night. I think the rooms have potential, but they need a bit more attention.

The staircase was dangerous, with dilapidated railings in a pre-revolutionary building, and you have to climb to the 4th floor. There's no elevator. The motion sensor lights in the stairwell, corridor, and room shut off too soon, and the room seemed to be in emergency condition. The bathroom also had fungus, with damp swollen walls and mold, as shown in the photo. I booked and paid for a four-person room with four beds, but the beds weren't ready to sleep in, with no pillowcases or duvet covers. When I asked why only one bed had been made, the woman on the phone yelled that she was the director and said one made bed was enough for me. She shouted, was rude, and hung up when I asked about using the other beds. They never brought the missing bedding. They also blocked my number and called me names. The director was rude and impolite, and there was no sense of service or decent customer treatment. In my 19 countries of travel, I've never had an experience this awful. I don't recommend this place.

The room was simple and clean, and the shared toilet was clean enough whenever we used it. We did have to put the duvet covers on ourselves because there wasn't any bedding on the beds. The stairs felt very unsafe, and the light wasn't working, so in the evening we had to use a flashlight to get up and down. That may be outside the owners' control.
