We spent three days here as a group while visiting Budapest, and the location made things easy. Attractions are close by, and there are plenty of good restaurants and pubs within a 10-minute walk. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well kept, just like the photos. The main drawback is the stairs. The Airbnb is on the third floor with no lift, so climbing up at night was a bit of a struggle. It could be inconvenient if you're carrying a lot of luggage.
Perfect!
The apartment itself is lovely, but the service was frustrating. There were three of us, and since the place is set up for four, I asked for an extra set of sheets. They hadn't prepared it, and they didn't even leave us another towel. They had made up only two beds, apparently assuming we were all couples. I don't know why they'd assume that. Instead of owning the mistake, they kept blaming me and passing me from one person to another. Support messaged to confirm the sheets would arrive the next day, but they never showed up. Then they said I hadn't spoken to the right person. I was on vacation and expected to chase several people just to get basic bedding. If you rent out an Airbnb, it should be ready for the number of guests it accommodates, and if something goes wrong, just admit it and fix it. Instead, they acted as if we were difficult guests for asking for sheets. I checked in on time, made no noise, and left the apartment in perfect condition. Even so, they gave me a bad review over that request. I can't make sense of it.
The apartment was clean and air-conditioned, and excellent value for money. My husband and I stayed three nights at Venus Apartments - King Street IV and had a wonderful time. It's in a historic building in a central area, with restaurants and bars nearby, plus the subway and a main street served by lots of trams and buses. The host got in touch after we checked in online and explained how to enter and open the key box. We returned the keys there when we left. The apartment is on the first floor, and there isn't an elevator or private parking, which may be an issue if you need a lift. Inside, the bathroom is very large, with a roomy shower, toilet, sink, and soap and shampoo dispensers. The kitchen is spacious and sits in the entrance hall with a table and plenty of utensils. It has a Nespresso machine and enough capsules for our stay, plus a kettle, but no tea. There was also a microwave, toaster, dishwasher, induction hob, and a fridge with freezer. The closet had an iron, ironing board, and drying rack, and the bathroom had a washing machine with detergent. The kitchen connects to a sofa area with a large TV, set apart from the bed. Breakfast isn't available. Highly recommended.
