Puri Suksma Ubud

I keep booking this villa because the staff are so attentive and the service is excellent. The place itself is clean, comfortable, and very nice. Everyone is extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

We spent more than two months here and were happy with our stay. The rooms are small, but cozy, and the grounds are roomy and clean. There’s a big swimming pool that gets cleaned every day. The owners are genuinely nice people, and you can order food from them. It’s both affordable and really tasty. I recommend staying here, and we’ll come back if we’re in Bali again.

We paid the full amount in cash up front, but the reception refused to provide the room we had booked. We disliked what they offered and told them repeatedly, yet they ignored us and left us feeling we had no choice but to stay. The room we received was empty, broken, dirty, and nothing like the fully equipped, furnished room we expected. There was no duvet cover, the shower and sink were broken, the toilet seat was extremely dirty, the floor was disgusting, and just two dim ceiling lights worked. Basic items such as water, slippers, and shower gel were missing, and we had to ask again and again before they arrived. Breakfast was also awful. They tossed our food and drinks on the table and gave us one piece of bread and one omelette. When we asked for pancakes, they said they wouldn’t serve them because we weren’t staying longer, even though we had booked six nights. On the first morning, they brought up checking out at 11am before we had even asked about it. They didn’t care for us as guests, and told us to leave if we didn’t like the place so they could sell the room to someone else and earn more. It felt like a total scam, and I think the property should be closed. They even marked us as no-shows in their system, apparently so we couldn’t report them after checkout. We filed a complaint with booking (dot)com, though I don’t know whether they’ll take action.

The vegetarian food was especially good, and I’m grateful for it. Everything was cooked really tasty. I stayed three weeks while doing yoga training with Aayaa school, and also needed to work. The internet was okay. The room was simple, but spacious, clean, and bright, with daily cleaning. It’s a calm, quiet place, about a 20-minute walk or less to the center, with a cafe and supermarket nearby. The pool was clean and good for swimming. I liked the place and the hostess, who helped whenever I had questions. Thanks to Ade and all the staff, I enjoyed my stay and would gladly return.
