Villa Kisaraa

Our honeymoon plans fell apart after a major crisis in the Middle East broke out a few days before check-in. Military attacks led several countries there to close their airspace, disrupting flights worldwide. Our route to Bali relied on connections through the region, and with flights cancelled or rerouted, we couldn’t physically get to the island. We realized this five days before check-in and contacted the host right away, trying hard to find a fair solution. We weren’t asking for a full refund, only a partial refund or some flexibility in light of the war and the airspace closures. The reply was simply that the policy applied, with no discussion or willingness to compromise. We’d put a lot of money and emotional energy into this trip, so the lack of understanding was especially upsetting. We know hosts have cancellation policies, but we expected some human consideration for an extraordinary global emergency. We reached out well in advance and tried to resolve it respectfully, but found no flexibility or compassion. Future guests should know there may be little to no leeway from this host during an unexpected emergency.

The meals were delicious, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. There’s also a lovely private pool. Villa Kisara is in a peaceful spot that’s still close to the main attractions. We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back. Highly recommend 🫶🏻

We were here for twelve days and would happily return. The villas have open living areas leading out to the pool, while the bedrooms close up for the night. Being tucked away from the main areas gave us the Bali experience we wanted, and it was still only a ten-minute drive away. The place was neat and cleaned daily. Staff were friendly, easy to communicate with, and did their best to help. They even made my partner’s birthday special. Breakfast arrived each day and was good quality. For the price, it felt like very good value. The property has a three-star Google rating, but the team worked hard to give us a five-star experience.

We loved our six-day stay, especially the swimming pool, which is why we chose the place. In a tropical setting you should expect to see lizards now and then, but that didn’t bother us. The staff were helpful, and we could rent a bike and get laundry done for a fee. There’s a kitty cat around too. Thanks to everyone for making the stay so good. Recommended!
