Residence at Damara Village Jimbaran

We lived with our family in Villa i-08 for over a year, and our agent was Fitri. After the rainy season, the villa needed major repairs, as can happen in Bali. We repeatedly asked Fitri to put us in touch with the owner and arrange maintenance, but she ignored our messages. We eventually found another villa, paid a deposit, and gave a month’s notice. Only then did she say the owner had agreed to make repairs, adding that she had forgotten to tell us because she was too busy. Her handling of this cost the owner reliable long-term tenants. Fitri was also meant to inspect the villa on our move-out day, but never came or checked the property. The owner should know how unprofessionally agents in this complex are operating. A large laundry bag with expensive branded items was also stolen from the complex grounds. Administration said they would check the cameras, then stopped replying. Later they said they couldn’t access the footage because of “server issues,” which makes it seem the cameras may not work at all. Nothing was done. Security here is questionable. If you leave belongings outside your villa for pickup, such as laundry, they may be stolen and no one will take responsibility.

Living in Damara has become impossible because toxic smoke from the neighboring area never goes away. They burn trash and have bonfires even on Nyepi day. It’s sad that management ignores complaints and makes no effort to fix this. Hilton management seems powerless.

The open-concept homes, secure setting and attractive landscaping make this a good choice for an affordable first or second villa in Bali. It’s a semi-hilly site with a view of Jimbaran forest, and I found it amazing. Greenwoods Group & Jimbaran Hijau developed it. It’s the best residential development in southern Bali, with two awards: Best Housing Architectural Design at the 2019 Propertyguru Indonesia Property Awards, and Best Middle Class Housing on Tourism Area in Bali at the 2019 Housing Estate Awards.

The house is new and nice, and it’s quiet, though there isn’t much nearby. There was some construction noise in the morning and a bit of a smell. For the price, about 1.5khkdpernight, I think it’s okay. Stayed here during a Bali trip.
