Taman Rosani Hotel

The location was brilliant, the rooms were a decent size, and the pool was okay. We ate at the hotel once and the food was good for the price. But over our seven nights, things went downhill. The WiFi didn't reach the room, the bedding was never changed, and towels only got replaced after we asked. The doors were so thin that staff noise woke us every morning from 7am. Check-in staff were friendly and the room looked much as it did in the online photos, so it started out well. This place has a lot of potential, but too many corners are being cut. With some serious TLC it could be lovely.

The bathrooms were probably the nicest part of the bedrooms. The beds felt a bit hard, though, and some furniture was starting to crumble. Around the hotel, I noticed water damage on the outside overhangs and in the dining room. Luckily, it didn't rain while I was there. Taman Rosani is a modest, affordable place with good staff and a handy location. Bars, clubs, restaurants, souvenir shops and Cozy, a massage parlor, are all within walking distance. There's also a laundromat and a 24-hour Circle K just across the street. It's a reasonable budget stay, though some things around the grounds may catch you by surprise.

Friendly staff and a good location, but you get what you pay for. Kids playing outside woke us at 7am every morning, and there was a bloodstain on the bedsheet. The doors and walls are paper thin, the pool didn't look clean, and the free WiFi was slow and kept cutting out. Half the ceiling skirting board had been ripped out.

I got to Bali early in the morning and tried to get a room here because my friends were staying at the hotel. The receptionist was really unfriendly and kept telling me early check-in wasn't possible, even after I offered to pay extra. I don't know what the rules are here, but everywhere I've been, hotels have allowed it for an additional charge. So at 5am I was left walking around looking for somewhere else. Thanks to the staff for that. Very disappointed.
