Villa Leda

The bedrooms were infested with mosquitos, and the whole sheet charge was ridiculous. We got tattoo ink on two sheets and were charged $160AUD, or 160,000 Indonesian. We offered $100AUD, or 100,000 Indonesian, but the owner said the remaining $60 would come out of the cleaners’ salary. Replacing the sheets makes sense, but that price wasn’t in the policy before we signed our stay, and threatening to take it from the staff felt inhumane. The cleaners and staff were very friendly. We travel to Bali every year, but we won’t stay here again and can’t recommend the place. The owner came online claiming we made her staff cry, but they were crying to us because they’d been threatened with a deduction if we didn’t pay. See the photos of the damage: two sheets, one pillow sheet, and one duvet cover. $160 is ridiculous, ludicrous, and disgusting. They got their $160, but they won’t get the thousands we’d spend on future visits. 👍

The facilities were okay and the staff were amazing, but management was terrible. Some tattoo ink got on a couple of sheets, and we were charged $160 to replace them. We were told that if we didn’t pay, the cost would come out of the staff’s pay. I’m disappointed, and I’d warn other guests that the manager may find reasons to charge you without showing proof in the T&Cs. Shame.

The location is perfect, with lots of great restaurants just a few minutes’ walk away, and the villa is beautiful. Kadek and Cinta were friendly and helpful, and Cinta did a great job keeping the place spotless. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to friends and family.

$160 for two sheets? Are you kidding me? Those things better have a thread count close to a million. SMH.
