Casa Padma Suites Legian

The location was perfect, and the pool is quite big for a hotel this size. We were there last week with our 4 year old and 10 month old. Room 305, at the top of the stairs, was large, with two king beds and a cot, though next time we’ll try for a ground floor room. The main building blocked the karaoke bar noise from our room, but we heard live music from the rock bar down the road a couple of nights. Breakfast was fresh, came quickly, and was adequate. The staff were lovely, and we’ll definitely return.

The room itself was fine, and the location was good, but the booking was handled badly. We’d booked and paid in full two days before arriving, yet our room was given to someone else because traffic made us very late checking in on Eid day. They didn’t tell us the room had been sold to another guest.

The huge room was still very comfortable, with a big desk, walk-in robe, and even a small lounge area. A friend stayed here five years earlier and had a fabulous room, but in the five years since, this one had become quite dated. I’d come back if the price were right.

Room 301 was huge for a solo traveller, with plenty of storage, a massive bathroom, and a couch and TV for when I wanted some time to myself. The location was brilliant, the superior room was spacious, and the staff were great. There’s a laundry straight across the road with a 24-hour turnaround, all the amenities, and two waters each day. I’d stay at Casa Padma again for a good price and location. Wi-Fi was weak in the room but worked well in the lobby. My room faced the bar across the road, where karaoke sounded like a herd of cats screaming into the mic, but it was quiet by midnight at the latest and I slept fine. Earplugs were provided, though I only needed them on the first night. The cleaner just did the basics and put things back in order, but the room was clean and comfortable. The curtains aren’t blackout, but you’re in Bali, so get out for the sunrise and beach walks.
