Le LIMA Hotel

Friendly, helpful staff and a quiet location right behind Beachwalk Shopping Center. You can walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach, though taxis can’t reach the entrance itself and there’s a short walk. The small street to the hotel felt a bit uncomfortable when walking alone at night. We were in a Deluxe Twin room at Le LIMA Hotel in Kuta Beach for three nights. The bed was comfortable, AC worked okay, there were English channels on the TV, and the in-room fridge was handy. The pool area looked nice, and the balcony view had great Bali vibes. Breakfast was very basic, toast, butter, jam, simple hot food like noodles or rice, some fruit, tea, and instant coffee. The room was acceptable but not spotless. The bathroom really needs updating: the toilet, shower, and faucet were very old and not properly clean, and there was a constant damp smell. The motion-sensing ventilation switched off after a few minutes, leaving the floor wet and the smell lingering. Towels need replacing too. They were washed but looked worn, and one had a big hole. For the price, the stay was okay, but the bathroom and towels need urgent improvement.

For a budget stay, this was the best hotel I found in Bali. We spent 3 nights here. The rooms were clean and the AC worked perfectly. Breakfast wasn't fancy, but it was much better than what other budget hotels nearby offered. The one thing I missed was an electric kettle in the room.

The pool area was a nice place to unwind, with loungers and shady spots, and Le Lima is only a few minutes from Kuta beach by motorbike or on foot. It also sits close to the busy part of Kuta while feeling much more peaceful. My girlfriend and I spent most of our Bali vacation here, and we'd stay again for the value and hospitality. Our room had a comfortable Queen bed, working AC, a fridge, safe, and bin. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was basic, with noodles, potatoes and vegetables or steamed rice, plus fruit, bread, tea, and coffee. The bathroom needed maintenance. There was a smell near the toilet and some small rust marks, so we kept the door shut and burned incense. Electrical work also went on late on a few nights, around 10/11pm, and would have been better done in the daytime. With the bathrooms properly maintained, I'd give it 5/5 stars.

The bathroom was the biggest disappointment, with lots of stains and rust in the toilet. The hotel looks attractive from outside, but it needs upkeep to stay presentable. When we were shown our room, the bed wasn't made, and we only got one pillow each. The TV didn't work, and there wasn't a chair in the room. The staff were lovely, though. Even though we arrived at 2AM, they greeted us with big smiles. I hope management takes care of the maintenance issues.
