Hotel O Maxi Budget

The location was decent, and the staff were friendly, but that was about all I could say in its favor. The room didn’t look like the pictures on #booking.com. The toilet was dark and dirty, with yellow stains, and I found insects in the room. The internet didn’t work at all. I’d planned to stay longer but could only manage two nights, and the owner has let the hotel get into very poor condition. I contacted Booking.com to complain and ask for a refund, but never got a reply or heard from anyone. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I’ve stayed in plenty of basic budget places while traveling over the past three months, but this room was in the worst condition I’ve encountered. There was a strong mold smell, water damage, and a large fungus growing on the ceiling above the bed. Reception was okay with me upgrading, which I assume would have been complimentary, but I chose to find somewhere else.

It’s near Paddy club at Kuta beach. The hotel used to be gorgeous, big, and beautiful, though it needs restoration in places now. Even in its current condition as a budget hotel, I enjoyed my stay.

The room smelled strongly of mold. There were no amenities, just two white towels that looked blackish from being worn out. Horrible.
