The bathroom lock is broken, and the swimming pool is nice but not large. Still, it’s a good place to stay overall, with excellent service and affordable prices for somewhere so close to Kuta Beach. It’s right in the heart of Kuta, though car access is through a narrow alley.

The rooms are spacious and the location is very good, but the hotel needs renovation. There’s peeling paint in the rooms, a smell in the bathroom, and a hole in the bathroom door by the lock. It has a lot of potential.

The owner refused to refund any of our 12 nights, fully paid to Agoda, after I asked to leave. Agoda said they would give a full refund if the owner agreed, but he wouldn’t, so we were left out of pocket. Be careful with Puri Asih Hotel Kuta Bali. The bathrooms were disgusting, especially the toilet seat. You have to pay extra for another towel or for orange juice. Breakfast is included, but it means a voucher for Gloria Jeans across the street, where you get one menu item and tea or instant coffee. There’s no in-house food or refreshments, and there’s no security. You have to leave your room key at reception when you’re away. The woman at reception was lovely, but the owner made it hard to enjoy the stay. Not even worth one star.

While I was working here, I saw poor management and no hospitality. Guests who had no internet connection didn’t know what to do, but the owner wouldn’t let them use the Wi-Fi, so I lent them my hotspot. The pool was dangerous too. I saw a guest scrape his ankle badly while swimming and advised him to go to the pharmacy.
