Putri Bali Villa

We booked the Saraswati 7 Bedroom villa but were given two villas in Putri instead. They were poorly maintained: some toilets wouldn’t flush, a heater didn’t work, one bathtub stopper was broken, and another bathtub had centipedes. There was bat poop on the floor every day, and lots of mosquitoes. The location was also inconvenient, with hardly any shops or shopping nearby.

The staff were the best part. They were attentive and quick to answer our questions. During my four-day stay, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. It’s a good spot if you like being close to nature, and it worked for getting around because I had rented a scooter. The villa felt older and more dated than I expected, and it wasn’t as spacious as I’d imagined. The furniture and fittings looked like they might fall apart. Showers took a long time to warm up, and the water had a slight metallic smell and taste. We weren’t picky, so we didn’t dwell on every issue. It was a decent stay, though the villa needs quite a few improvements to stand out.

Breakfast is included, with a choice of American or Indonesian food brought right to the villa. It was nicely presented, tasty, and filling. The villas are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and you can really relax here. The staff were warm and helpful, the kind of friendliness and kindness people talk about when they share stories of Bali.

The staff were friendly, brought breakfast to the villa each day, and kept things clean. They even upgraded my villa for free. The pool was clean and just the right temperature. The TV in the open living room had no picture, and the air conditioner wasn’t directly in front of the bed, so the bed area did get a bit hot. I’d definitely recommend it.
