The Jineng Villas

The big doors and private walls made the villa feel secure, and the location was great. The staff were wonderful and always ready to help with any concerns. When the mosquitoes got really bad, they came to spray the room for me. The villa itself is beautiful, but it needs updating. There was a smell in the bathroom, possibly because there’s no window for fresh air. Getting into and out of the pool was a bit awkward too. Stairs or a ladder would help, and an inflatable bed or ring to lounge on would be nice.

Seminyak was a handy base, with places like KFC and the famous two-level Starbucks nearby, plus a Circle K right across from the villa. We booked through Airbnb, though I think you can also contact them directly to reserve. We had a great stay with four people. The price was affordable, the rooms were spacious and clean, and each had its own bathroom. The helper even arranged the bed with birthday wording for me and put roses around the bathtub. Such a sweet surprise. I’d absolutely recommend this villa.

We stayed for a week and won’t be coming back. The pool was dangerous to get in and out of, some floor tiles were loose, and the lounge wasn’t comfortable. Cleaning was below average and the place badly needs a maintenance overhaul. Every day we also had to climb around several motorbikes in the entryway. The advertised luxury didn’t match the stay. The TV blew up in the first two hours, and it took five days to replace it. We asked for a microwave and were told yes, then told sorry, someone else was using it. Apparently there’s only one for the whole place. After three days the safe wouldn’t open, either. We had to ask for bowls, tea towels, and a dishcloth.

The villas are roomy and private, which was the best part of my stay. Still, they could use some updating and maintenance. The bathroom roof leaked while I was there, and the breakfast menu could do with an update.
