After seven nights at The Lane, I wouldn’t recommend this villa for families with young children. We saw rats outside the fourth bedroom and running by the living and kitchen area. When we told staff, they laughed a little and brought out fly spray. There was animal poo beside our baby’s cot and on toothbrushes in another bathroom. Our toddler also slipped down the living area steps, where the floor is extremely slippery. The online photos make it look like there are open grassy areas, but the only small patch is under the stairs to the upstairs bedroom, and it has pavers in it. Staff were friendly, but this definitely isn’t suitable for young families.

We’ve already booked another stay for next year. The location made it easy to walk to the beach, restaurants, and good shopping, and the villa had a lovely living space. We spent nine days here in February, and the kids loved splashing around in the huge pool. There were four spacious, beautifully appointed bedrooms, plus tasty breakfasts made by the really helpful Ayu and Komang. The villa itself was awesome. Thanks to Joe and his Balinese wife, Ari, for such a wonderful trip.

The villa looks just like the photos, and the pool was great. Staff were friendly, came in to make breakfast, and kept everything tidy. It’s away from the busy main roads, but restaurants, shops, and massages are only a few minutes’ walk away. The beach takes about 10-15 minutes on foot. We had a fantastic time here.

We were a group of 10 and stayed for a week. The villa is lovely and only a few minutes from the main street. Reliable, experienced staff looked after us morning and evening, almost like at a hotel. I’d recommend it for big families or groups. Julie from Australia
