The pool gets sun all day, and there’s a great outdoor kitchen area with a big table. The indoor lounge is really comfortable, and the decor is lovely, though the villa itself is a bit old. It’s well located for shops and restaurants, with the beach a five-minute walk away. There are three bedrooms in the main house and two bungalows by the pool. Two more bedrooms are upstairs, but the stairs are very steep. Only three bedrooms had safes, which wasn’t ideal for everyone. The staff were really good and very accommodating. Overall, it’s a good villa, but the upstairs rooms need renovating as they weren’t very nice.

We made the most of being able to walk to restaurants and bars. The Pavillion, Cocoon and Santorini restaurant, plus plenty of other bars, were just minutes away. Most afternoons we walked to the beach for beers at sunset, then wandered the nearby streets for dinner. Shopping on 66 was great, and Legian and Seminyak streets were close too. It was ideal for our group of 14, including some who didn’t ride bikes. The staff at Villa Amaya were amazing and easy to work with. They’d help with anything, including topping up the fridge or getting something from Bintang supermarket. The villa itself was fine, with seven air conditioned bedrooms and a big area to hang out. For our photo shoot, we loved the natural light, lush garden, and furnishings that felt both traditional and modern. Villa Amaya is quiet and private despite its central location, making it a lovely option for a family or a trip with friends. It’s a stunning five-bedroom villa, 500m from Seminyak beach, with some of the town’s best restaurants nearby and Bali's traditional sarong shops on Jalan Double Six right on the doorstep. All the bedrooms were comfortable, spacious and beautifully furnished, each with an ensuite bathroom. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help with requests.
