For the price, this was amazing, probably the best place we’ve had during our month in Indonesia. The room was cleaned every day, the staff were super helpful, and the hot water was great. Wi-Fi was strong, and there was even a flatscreen TV with a really sharp picture. It’s near the main strip of restaurants and bars, and about a 20-minute walk to the beach. I’d definitely stay again.

I had to leave. At check-in there was nobody at the desk, just an envelope with a key. The owner didn’t show up, even by the next afternoon. I waited because the lock on room 7 was broken and the door could be pushed open even when locked. There was no water or food, and I couldn’t leave the room with the lock like that. I called the owner several times with no answer. Agoda called too, and he ignored them as well.

We booked 17 nights but left three days early, and management and staff didn’t really seem to care. The bed is comfy, the location is okay, and there’s plenty of food nearby. At about $27 AUD a day, there are worse places, but in the slow season and during corapocalypse, you can find better value. The place is too noisy. The rooms have no soundproofing, so a neighbour’s rooster woke us at dawn, then builders next door started at 8am and made sure there was no sleeping in. Housekeeping was offered, but you have to be there to hand over the key. If you aren’t, they’ll leave the room unlocked. They never changed the sheets, only made the bed and swept the floor, and they didn’t clean the bathroom at all. I had to ask them to refill the shower gel. Not very clean, too loud, but cheap.

After a few bad hotel locations on my first day in Bali, I was glad to find this peaceful, quiet place. It saved my Bali experience. The front desk staff were great, and I had a good stay overall. It’s hard to find, but well worth it for the price.
